Your policy wording would have been sent with your purchase confirmation via Email or Post. Copies of policy wordings are also available from the insurance provider’s website.

Curtailment coverage could include scenarios such as:

  • You or a member of your party becoming ill or sustaining an injury while on holiday.
  • The death, injury or illness of a close relative at home.
  • You, or a member of your party, have been called for jury service.
  • News of that your home has become being left uninhabitable following a burglary, fire or flooding.

If you have been on your trip since March and cut your trip short (curtailed) knowing that the FCO have advised against all but essential travel to your destination, then it’s unlikely that your claim will be successful, unless your policy wording includes specific cover for this reason.
