Needing medical assistance abroad can be a distressing time.
To help you make a claim, answer the following questions.
Once you've completed this and are ready, make a claim, easily using our online form below

1 of 6 - Have you read the policy wording to see what you’re covered for?

Your policy wording would have been sent with your purchase confirmation via Email or Post. Copies of policy wordings are also available from the insurance provider’s website. Medical Expenses coverage could include scenarios such as;

  • If you need emergency medical treatment abroad
  • If you need to replace your prescribed medication
  • If you’re admitted to a public hospital
  • Treatment for minor injury or illness
  • Emergency dental treatment

Most policies state that you will be unable to claim for expenses in Europe unless you were treated in a state facility and presented your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

If you’re claiming for medical expenses due to COVID-19; Some policies are not designed to cover known or publicly announced events. As such, for certain claim reasons there may be no cover for Coronavirus, COVID-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV-2), any mutation of Coronavirus, COVID-19 or SARs-COV-2 or any pandemic or fear or threat of any of these. There may be an exception to this for scenarios where medical treatment is required, you should read your policy wording to find out more.
